2015 fantasy football QB rankings; rest of season

Here’s my 2015 quarterback rankings going forward…

1. Aaron Rodgers- If he isn’t your #1, you aren’t watching football on sundays.

2. Tom Brady– This offense is lethal, and they seem to have abandoned the run game and relied on short passing plays instead.  Fantasy gold.

3. Andrew Luck- You should refuse to believe his early season struggles continue.  He should be back in week 6, don’t panic too much.

4. Russell Wilson- Always been a non-believer in Wilson’s fantasy prospects, but the Seattle offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL, and Lynch is banged up.  Wilson’s opportunities to throw the ball will increase and that consistent rushing production is a nice safety blanket.

5. Carson Palmer- Yup.  Palmer gets into the top 5.  The Cardinals offense loves to throw the ball, and we forgot how effect Palmer can be when healthy.

6. Cam Newton- Look at the first four opponents the Panthers got this year.  It’s no wonder Newton has looked great so far.  Does that mean we should expect a decline?  Perhaps.  But the remaining schedule after the Seahawks in week 6 isn’t difficult.  Newton looks like he has improved his passing skills as well, and he is back to being healthy, thus leading to goal-line work.

7. Peyton Manning- He isn’t the same quarterback, clearly.  The offensive line has exposed this as Manning has little to no time to step into his throws.  Regardless, he’s still one of the best minds to ever play in the NFL, and the weapons he gets to throw to will give him solid fantasy value.

8. Drew Brees– Another future hall of fame quarterback on the decline, Brees’ situation compared to Manning’s is different, as the skills haven’t taken as much of a hit, but the supporting cast is not nearly what Denver has to offer.

9. Andy Dalton- Bad Andy is coming.  But remember that Dalton finished as a top 5 quarterback in 2013.  This is legit.

10. Ben Roethlisberger– He’s going to be out for a few more weeks, which clearly hurts his value, but you get the quarterback in the Steelers offense for the last few weeks of the fantasy regular season and the playoffs.  Huge value here.

11. Philip Rivers– Always overlooked in the fantasy community.

12. Matt Ryan- When can we get over Matt Ryan as a fantasy player?  Very good player, but he doesn’t throw touchdowns.  Never has.  Even with the hot start in Atlanta, this guy can’t throw touchdowns.  Temper expectations, people.

13. Eli Manning- The Giants aren’t the laughing stock they appeared to be after the first two weeks of the season.  Manning is a solid NFL quarterback that has his big games throughout the year.  Warning: the 4 INT game tends to occur annually as well.

14. Tyrod Taylor- Looks solid, and the rushing yards haven’t been there the last two weeks, but that could be chalked up to injury.  Expect those rushing yards to increase.  Don’t expect the turnovers to decline.

15. Sam Bradford- Watch an Eagles game.  You will see Bradford just isn’t comfortable.  It’s Hard to trust him week to week.
